Success at the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod

We congratulate our students on their major success at the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod. Highlights include:

1st Place - Senior Classical Ballet Group

Amelia Baxter - Winner of the Senior Classical Ballet Championship & Demi Character Solo section

Lucy Gold - Winner of the 15yrs Classical Ballet solo section

Phoebe Warlow - Winner of the 14yrs Classical Ballet solo section

Annabelle Miranda - 2nd place - 14yrs Classical Ballet Championship

Anastasia Bertinshaw & Evan Loudon - Winners of the Modern Lyrical Duo

Youth America Grand Prix, New York

16 students from the Academy travelled to New York last week to perform in the Yout America Grand Prix. 8 of these students qualified as Soloists performed alonside over 300 competitors from all over the world.

The Solists were: Amelia Baxter; Hayley Collins, Tiffany Jones, Evan Loudon, Annabelle Miranda, Lauren Muir, Emily Smith & Phoebe Warlow.

They have all done extremely well in the Competition with students being placed in the top 10 of the Competition.  The dancers were recognised by Directors from all over the world and received a number of Scholarship offers to Selective Schools including The Australian Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Vienna State Ballet School, The Canadian National School to highlightjust a few.

Tanya Pearson was also awarded the "Most Outstanding Teacher Award ".   Well done to all of the dancers!
