SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED AT YOUTH AMERICA GRAND PRIX!

Tanya Pearson has just returned from New York and the Finals of the Youth America Grand Prix where three students were awarded Scholarships to leading European and US schools.

Commended for her artistry, Anastasia Bertinshaw was awarded a Scholarship to attend the Ballett Akademie, Munich where she will commence later this year.

Having previously been offered a place at the John Neumeier School in Hamburg, Germany during Mrs Pearson’s European Tour, Hayley Page was also awarded a Scholarship to the Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy, in Texas.

Joel Woellner received 6 scholarship offers to schools throughout Europe and the USA and was awarded a Scholarship Apprenticeship with the Houston Ballet II Company.

Mrs Pearson said “I am proud of our students as the marks on their reports were extremely high – averaging over 92% – and the jury was very diverse, representing many countries.”

The students will continue their training at the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy until September, when they will take up their offers. Before their departure they will perform in major roles in Sydney City Youth Ballet’s production of Cinderella in July at Glen St Theatre, Frenchs Forest.
