Teachers Course offered in 2009

We would like to inform you that the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy is offering an accredited Student Teachers Course in conjunction with our Full-Time Dancers’ Course.

This course will be a 2-3 year course resulting in a Teaching Diploma with accreditation by Cecchetti Ballet Australia subject to passing the final examinations.

The course will include access to all of the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy Teaching faculty which is listed below, and will incorporate:

Classical Open Class

Character Dance

Contemporary

Composition

Anatomy

Variations

Pas-de-deux

Repertoire

Nutrition for Dancers

Plus Coaching Methodology on the following subjects:

Body conditioning and exercise programs

• Port-de-bras and use of free upper spine
• Posture and placement
• Use of opposing energy in extensions
• Coaching exercises for arabesque, attitude, pirouettes and allegro
• Spatial awareness
• Musicality, rhythm, breathing and artistry
• Resistance in Pointe work
