Three students of the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy in St Leonards have been chosen as Finalists in the Royal Academy of Dance’s Genee International Ballet Competition.

The Finalists are Amelia Baxter (15 yrs, Marsfield), Shayarne Matheson (17 yrs Homebush Bay) and Emily Smith (17yrs Mosman).

One of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world, the Genee is currently taking place in Singapore with the Finals being held this Saturday, 12 September.  To qualify for this prestigious competition, the students had to gain Distinction in their Advanced 2 (and final) Royal Academy of Dance Examination.
