Sydney City Youth Ballet

Established over 20 years ago by Tanya Pearson, THE SYDNEY CITY YOUTH BALLET provides the essential and valuable experience for emerging dancers to perform full length Ballets alongside professional Guest Artists. Many of the past performers are now Principals in companies around the world and used THE SYDNEY CITY YOUTH BALLET as a stepping stone in their career development. The Company operates as a non-profit organization, receiving no government funding and relying exclusively on the generous support of patrons and funds received through ticket sales.

THE SYDNEY CITY YOUTH BALLET stages annual productions at local theatres in Sydney, offering discounted prices to Schools, Retirement Villages, Community Groups and the General Public – THE SYDNEY CITY YOUTH BALLET brings dance to the public at affordable prices.

In 2007 we welcomed a new Patron of the Company – Father Arthur Bridge AM.OAM. Fr Arthur Bridge is a Catholic Priest who chairs the “Ars Musica Australis Foundation”. He is patron of the Sydney Youth Orchestra, the Australian International Performing Arts High School and Conservatorium, the Sydney Omega Ensemble and is a member of the Australia Council for the Arts.
